No artificial flavors

This is the voice of the slacker
The inconvenient life hacker
One Extra saltine cracker
The horns of a dragon
More magic than Hagrid
Don't get caught in my Web
Or get lost in my swag
Cuz I'm quick with the thought
But slow as I brag
I write haiku's by day
And by night I'm away
Breathing life into shadows
And time Out of clay
It'd be wise to acknowledge
The worst of my flaws
Is that I don't know their names
I hear their requests
But I don't play their games
I'm too busy to answer
I'm paid by the hour
To pluck all my feathers
And take frozen showers
My footsteps are words
And as I get much older
It takes more and more effort
To keep a cold shoulder

Debtless to destiny by JRC

Vlog idea

I listened  to a whisper
A soft and trembling voice
He said he knows things
He sees things
He hears things
His tone timid
He wants to be heard
But his intentions are clouded by
The depths of deception
When he talks hr hears the echoes
But not of his voice
But the voice of a being
A being that doesn't belong
A being that should in no way exist
This being called doubt
Here in this cave, the whisper begs to help
He says he wants to walk towards you but his legs are weak
He would fly to you
But his wings are broken
Broken by the crushing fist of uncertainty
The blinding darkness of discouragement
And the fear that he is unwanted

His voice now boldens
Like ink onto paper
He just wants to be heard

He says he has to tell you something
Before his voice fades again
And he's lost in your mind's abyss

He says
I know what you desire
I know you too are muzzled
I know you too have a voice
One that also begs to be heard
I know

So carry on my innocence
Carry on my confidence
Carry on your passions
Your life's ambitious
Bu do so in the following fashion

He continues
When you speak, be fearless just as an eagle spans the sky, flying up and over its ambitions

When you walk, do so with faith just as the north star never fades, neither will your hope, a lighthouse you can always rely on

And lastly
When you fight the negativity, the shame, the doubt and fear, just remember, I am always here, though as you grow, the cave becomes more illuminated and as you soar, with glory your wings will shine like gold and you will be without fear

Because without a doubt
You are invincible

Eggshells

Emotions are competing for my attention

My emotions compete for attention
I, the emperor, watch closely
Anger like a gladiator pulls out a sword of irate frustration and a small wooden shield, and  becomes defensive, Who will be the next contender

A line of unique and colorful characters crowd the entrance, all except fear and panic, who are clawing at the walls of my mind's coleseum.

Courage is eager and Optimistic but he was over confident and forgot his weapons

Anger struggles to hide its impatience.
"Is anyone gonna make a move?" It snarled.

Procrastination yells "I'll fight ya last? Maybe tomorrow"

Anger roars

"Yeah you are really looking scary anger", sarcasm cracks one, although he is secretly guarded and unsure of the outcome of today..

The veins on anger's forehead throb in agony and his wrath is soon to overtake my next move...

Meanwhile in my kitchen I am torn over what I'm going to make for dinner, the dishes are all dirty and a can of old corn is the least appetizing thing on the menu

Hunger finally emerges, collaborating with creativity and resourcefulness to scavenge some eggs from the fridge and quickly prompting motivation to wash the frying pan

I'm going to have a omelette

How to tell if you are dead

How to tell if you are dead

Beside yourself
A torso is doubled
Halved into the troubled
Your breath is mildly cold

Spears of ice now peirce the air
As they all see you're no longer there
Or here, or what you call nowhere
No thoughts to share, or dimes to spare

You can't deny
A sight so glum
Won't darken the hearts of innocence

One could not buy
A colder shoulder
And you cope with acceptance

What's gone is still
within the echoes
Admit that you're now past tense

Your time is gone
The breath of a shadow
No longer follows you

You wait till dawn
When the mist is shallow
And solace slowly swallows you

When In Doubt by JRC

When In Doubt

I sift my toes into the sand

The sea's breeze tickles

I take a sip of iced tea and

I feel a drop of sweat trickle

But I am at no beach

I enter a revolving door

The cool air lets my body breathe

Elevator to the highest floor

My heartbeat gains some speed

But I am at no building

When in doubt, just let it out
Let corruption leave your mouth
Fill the day not, with what you say
Bullshit, spice and shades of grey

When in doubt, put on disguise
If all else fails, just lie and lie
Lie, lie and lie some more
If all you have is lies
Just let it pour

When in doubt, dismay or need
Just remember, use deceit

To my left, I see a statue

Of what I was, a blinded fake

To my right, I'm looking at you

You're my future, you're my fate

But I am at no crossing

Because,
Even though I'm full of lies
I use them all to improvise
And
Even if my gain falls short
I just
Lie, lie and lie some more
